| On June 23-25, 2006, the North Carolina Association of Rescue & EMS, Inc. held their 50th annual convention in Winston-Salem, NC. The Gates County Rescue Squad entered one team in the Rescue Challenge and one team in the Rescue Competition. At the Award Ceremony, the squad received the following awards: Rescue Challenge: First Place (Team Members: Billy Winn, Mike Tinkham) Rescue Competition: Seventh Place (Team Members: Billy Winn, Clarence Winn, Steve Stallings, Mike Tinkham, Kevin Eure, Stormy Butts.) |
